Full-time 36.5 hours per week (hybrid working typically 1-2 days a week in the Council House and able to attend key meetings across Birmingham in person when required)

Do you want to make a real difference to children young people and families in Birmingham The Children and Families Directorate at Birmingham City Council is seeking a proactive and collaborative Product Manager to join our Digital Evidence Performance Service (DEPS) team. We are on an ambitious digital transformation journey putting user-centred design and data-driven decision-making at the heart of our services. As part of DEPS you will help ensure our core case management systems are stable compliant and user-friendly supporting over 2000 users and enabling positive outcomes for families across the city.

About the Role
In this role you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver and support digital products and services manage system governance and user access and provide structured training and technical support to colleagues. You will work closely with Digital & Technology Services (DTS) suppliers and a wide range of stakeholders to drive adoption of new digital tools resolve technical issues and champion continuous improvement. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear user-friendly way will be key as will your commitment to equality diversity and safeguarding.

About You
You will be an established professional with a degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience and a strong background in business application support and digital systems. Youll have experience in technical support training and system governance ideally within a large or complex organisation. Using your knowledge of digital tools and applications you will design and deliver effective solutions support user onboarding and maintain a pipeline of improvements that enable services to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people in Birmingham. Your excellent communication and engagement skills will help you work with a range of users stakeholders and IT professionals and your commitment to equality diversity and safeguarding will be central to your approach.
