Your role
Join a friendly and dynamic Test Team within the Technology Department.
As part of a skilled group of Test Delivery Leads your responsibilities will include delivering test services to all business and operational products developed for or in use within the firm. The team is progressing towards Agile delivery working collaboratively with our outsourced managed test service provider.
This role involves all aspects of test management such as cost and effort estimating resource planning test planning overseeing test execution and reporting on both functional and non-functional testing.
You will have opportunities to work with both business and technology teams and to influence our risk-based approach to testing. Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the team to define testing needs approach plans schedules & execution on multiple test service engagements.
- Coach and develop members of the team to set apply & maintain excellent test standards.
- Act as an SME for test on any ongoing or new projects or test engagements managing every aspect of quality assurance
- Develop and build relationships across the team and beyond.
- Resolve problems and blockers as they occur with peers and help unlock junior members of the team. Follow through on details and drive issues to closure.
- Lead by example in areas of test management planning & cost control.
- Demonstrate your understanding of both functional and non-functional testing and your ability to drive automation and performance test delivery.
- Management of the test delivery of assigned resources including work scheduling and execution.
- Collaborate communicate & work effectively with geographically distributed cross-functional teams and managed service personnel.
- Review & oversee test execution including the creation and sharing of metrics to track progress against agreed targets.
- Define develop and maintain artefacts such as test plans test reports or knowledge documentation.
- Drive for continuous improvement in test process within an emerging agile team.
About you
- Experience within a test function including responsibility for test service delivery for functional and non-functional (performance and operational acceptance) testing.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum SDLC practices & tools with the ability to articulate the value of Agile.
- Experience using a formal Test Management tool such as Azure DevOps (TFS) Jira or QC/ALM.
- Effective & strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate.
- A self-learner with a passion to learn new technologies & test practices.
- Pragmatic & results orientated.
- Experience in testing against various environments such as Windows Web Hardware etc.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain oversight on multiple Test projects running in parallel.
- Experience in building & maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
- Strong investigative skills with keen attention to detail.
- Experience in stakeholder & supplier management
