Amazon is seeking a Robotics Deployment Engineer for the European region. As a Deployment Engineer you will coordinate commissioning and installation teams provide technical guidance throughout robotics deployment projects and ensure successful delivery of Amazon Robotics systems. You will also support NPI (New Product Introduction) projects helping ensure new products are technically ready to move from pilot to GA (General Availability). Beyond deployment execution you will provide technical training and work closely with product development and support organizations.
Travel requirement for this role is up to 75%.
This role can be based in London or Berlin.
Key job responsibilities
Coordinate and provide technical guidance to on-site engineering teams during deployment projects ensuring work meets specifications and quality standards. Oversee systematic troubleshooting efforts guiding teams through resolution of hardware and software issues across software IT mechanical electrical and control systems. Serve as primary technical liaison between on-site teams remote engineering teams and project stakeholders. Apply knowledge of warehousing and industrial automation equipment to guide deployment execution and perform hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting when required to unblock teams.
Support NPI projects by validating technical specifications and installation procedures during pilot deployments. Identify and document deployment challenges providing readiness feedback to product development teams to ensure products are technically ready to move from NPI to GA (General Availability). Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs specifications and commissioning procedures based on field deployment experience and develop deployment documentation and training materials for new products before GA release.
Provide technical training to deployment teams and operations personnel on systems commissioning procedures and troubleshooting methodologies. Develop and maintain technical documentation SOPs and playbooks to support deployment execution and knowledge transfer. Share lessons learned and best practices across deployment teams to drive continuous improvement and mentor commissioning engineers on systematic troubleshooting frameworks.
A day in the life
Your day might start with travel to a construction site. Upon arrival youll complete safety induction and meet with the on-site team. Youll review project activities against milestones guide the team on priorities and technical approach and conduct quality inspections. Throughout the day youll provide technical direction to commissioning engineers troubleshooting issues join alignment meetings with stakeholders and oversee commissioning of robotics systems. The day concludes with a team debrief where you review progress and set technical priorities.

The Technical Execution team consists of individuals with diverse engineering backgrounds all passionate about technology deployment at scale. The team thrives in a multi-cultural multi-national fast-paced environment taking pride in creating a global network of automated warehouses using robotics technologies.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
- Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development
- Experience working in at least two of these languages: Python Java Perl PHP Ruby or Bash/Shell
- Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet Chef Ansible or related systems
- Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) systems engineering systems administration DevOps security administration or network administration
- Experience in network capture and systems troubleshooting
- Experience building scripts tooling and automation for large-scale computing environments
