As a Senior Developer on the AI/ML Platform Integration team you will play a key role in building and maintaining backend systems and APIs that enable the delivery of AI capabilities to internal and external stakeholders. While your main focus will be backend services you may occasionally prototype or develop user-facing features requiring familiarity with modern front-end frameworks.
What Youll Do
- Design build and maintain backend services and APIs powering AI/ML integrations and data-driven applications with scalability reliability and performance in mind.
- Design and develop robust and resilient APIs (REST GraphQL etc.) applying best practices on versioning documentation security resiliency monitoring and performance optimization.
- Develop and optimize data access layers system integrations and background processing services.
- Leverage cloud services (e.g. Azure Functions App Services Service Bus Kubernetes API Management etc.) to deliver cloud-native solutions.
- Occasionally prototype or implement user-facing features using modern front-end frameworks (React Angular NextJS or Vue).
- Collaborate closely with AI/ML/Data engineers as well as product teams to translate requirements into backend capabilities.
Qualifications :
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field combined with 5 years of relevant backend development experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and 7 years of relevant practical experience.
- Strong expertise in C# and Python with deep knowledge of ecosystem.
- Strong expertise in API design (REST GraphQL) and related concepts.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend systems with a solid understanding of backend service concerns such as security monitoring performance tuning and fault tolerance.
- Proficiency with cloud services(Azure AWS) and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with non-relational and relational databases and data modelling.
- Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks (React Angular NextJS or Vue) for prototyping or light feature development.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bilingual (French and English)
Working conditions:
- Contract: Permanent full-time (40h/week)
- Working mode: Hybrid or full remote
- Occasional in-office presence may be required during the year (for events or team meetings for example).
- Candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.
