Summary: LPN working directly with the physician in clinic. Rooming patients dressing changes assist with procedures scheduling procedures and obtaining prior authorizations.

Reports to: Manager

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an LPN program

  • License: Current LPN to practice in the state of North Carolina

  • Certifications: BCLS

  • 6 years clinical experience

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Essential Function

  • Collects and documents patient intake data. Maintains accurate and complete patient records
  • Provides patient support that reflects considerations for emotional physical social cultural religious and economic influences.
  • Assists with routine clinic support activities.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Maintains appropriate safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.
  • Coordinates nursing staff to facilitate accessibility and continuity of care.
  • Coordinates requests of physicians and office staff in regard to patient activities and needs.
  • Athena Super User role
  • Assist with Quality Controls of all Point of Care testing
  • Provide support for staffing when management is unavailable
  • Decision recommendations for staffing overtime and low census to be communicated to manager for final approvals.
  • Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
  • Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Supply ordering
