A functional management role responsible for technical content strategy & processes for body front/rear systems & underbody this role you will serve as the applications supervisor for front/rear systems ensuring robust design & delivery of components & vehicle this role this individual will lead all technical & business plan aspects including product & technology development supplier development & selection product verification & production validation engineering sign-off launch ongoing product support & quality assurance of products in the addition the front/rear systems supervisor will lead professional development of team members and oversee budgeting & resource allocation.



Responsibilities

In this position...

  • Supervise a team of 8 or more Front & Rear Systems Application Engineers
  • Lead & ensure successful delivery of all engineering KPIs including Quality Cost Weight & Functional Performance (QCWF) for MCA / ICA programs.
  • Responsible for delivering the most efficient designs in the market.
  • Lead overall front/rear ends systems & underbody shield attribute performance and manufacturing through a systemic review of interactions between interfacing components and systems
  • Responsible for adhering to FMA DVP&R Quality History & Prevent Recurrence

What youll do...

  • Analyze designs during the development process & address any potential failures & error states.
  • Lead and mentor teams to successfully deliver on-time program milestones with quality.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with DTO and Studio leadership.
  • Actively manage body surface releases and feasibility progression effecting Class A.
  • Interface with all levels of management & outside activities on front/rear end systems & shielding issues.
  • Construct & develop simple and complex business cases for various designs & commercial negotiations.
  • Act as the business owner with end-to-end responsibility for front/rear end systems & underbody shields.
  • Ability to share & present work to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Support core engineering with program lessons learned via body tech club and other forums.
  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding quality targets for Front & Rear Systems.
  • Lead Quality issue resolution using 8D process.
  • Support Front & Rear Systems TVM Engineering team and design Sign Off.
  • Lead SREA process for Font & Rear Systems including PV testing requirements data review and approval.
  • Lead CCRG discussions on Front & Rear System related concerns.
  • Support STA with supplier issue resolution.


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • BS in Engineering
  • 8 years of experience in D&R of Class A components.

Even better you may have...

  • MS in Engineering
  • Thorough knowledge of GPDS and proven skill of interpreting process deliverables for Front & Rear System Commodities.
  • Full Program experience in from TSC/PSC OKTB on at least one major program.
  • Demonstrated 8D problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated cross functional team leadership skills.
