Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Engineer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) in Riyadh Saudi this critical role you will be responsible for overseeing cost management design review and budget control for large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals
- Conduct detailed cost analyses and provide regular cost performance reports to stakeholders
- Provide cost performance analysis interpretation and forecasting of cost performance against budgets
- Maintains the Program and Project Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Manage changes made to the structure of the CBS with version control.
- Support risk assessments and assist in development of mitigation strategies to minimize financial impacts
- Create and update financial models to forecast project costs and cash flows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet budget constraints
- Implement and maintain cost control systems to track project expenses and variances
- Provide expert advice on cost-related matters to project managers and senior leadership
- Stay current with local regulations and industry best practices in cost engineering
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in cost engineering and project management preferably in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
- Extensive knowledge of cost engineering principles PMO practices and budget management
- Strong proficiency in cost management software (e.g. Primavera MS Project)
- Excellent skills in financial modeling risk assessment and contract management
- In-depth understanding of design review processes and their impact on project costs
- Familiarity with construction and engineering practices in Saudi Arabia
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards relevant to project costing and management
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
