The salary for this role is 70505 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance) .On-site working is required five days per week. Occasional working from home may be accommodated and we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role can be based at any of the following sites; Culham Oxfordshire
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
The Role

As MAST-U Engineering Manager you will play a pivotal role in MAST-U which is currently the largest operating tokamak in the world providing a facility on which to perform experiments to provide the answer to key questions for fusion power to be delivered to the grid. We are looking for an Engineering Manager for MAST-U who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and management of the delivery of engineering improvements to the facility. The MAST-U Engineering Manager is a senior role responsible for the delivery of engineering fabrication work on MAST-U coordinating the many teams working to ensure engineering works are suitable planned and prepared for installation. The post holder will lead the delivery of individual systems for installation and ensure effective management of the planning and design staff working on the programme.
