Job Summary
Freshworks is looking for a seasoned finance leader to join our R&D Finance team as Director FP&A (Cloud AI Infrastructure). In this role youll partner with Product and Engineering leadership to drive cloud cost governance strategic planning and financial insights that shape the future of our platform.
Were seeking someone with deep expertise in public cloud financial management (AWS Azure) outstanding analytical and modeling skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
What Youll Do:
- Lead cloud cost visibility reporting and optimization initiatives delivering actionable insights and measurable savings.
- Partner with Engineering and Product leaders to align cloud investments with business priorities and ensure predictable run-rates.
- Negotiate large cloud contracts and POs; evaluate vendor proposals and develop build vs. buy business cases.
- Provide strategic financial leadership by building 1-and 3-year plans identifying risks and opportunities and driving investment decisions.
- Collaborate with corporate and GTM FP&A teams to develop KPIs that enable performance tracking and operational excellence.
- Deliver accurate financial reporting variance analysis and executive-ready presentations.
- Drive process improvements automation and standardization across financial planning and reporting functions.
Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/week (Tues - Thurs) from our San Mateo CA headquarters.
Qualifications :
- 15 years of FP&A experience including 3 years leading teams.
- Proven expertise in cloud financial management (cloud governance forecasting optimization) across AWS and Azure
- Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Strong business partnership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Background in SaaS/software strongly preferred
- MBA is a plus
Additional Information :
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and the expected base salary range for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background training work experience business needs and market demand. Therefore in some circumstances the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a target bonus.
Compensation Package
$213600 - $280000 Base Salary Variable Compensation
