Our client a nationally recognised law firm with a Tier 1-ranked national practice is seeking a Commercial Lawyer with experience in IT/Technology and Outsourcing. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of complex high-value commercial and technology projects advising on medium to large-scale transactions across various sectors where digitalisation outsourcing and regulatory change converge.

About the Role
As a Managing Associate in the Technology & Outsourcing team youll be part of a high-performing cohesive national group working on some of the largest and most complex deals in the market. The Leeds team is led by six Partners and offers excellent prospects for career development secondments and cross-border work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising across a broad range of commercial matters in sectors such as:
- Retail & consumer
- Financial services
- Advanced manufacturing
- Technology
- Healthcare
- Leading projects and managing your own workload with confidence and precision
- Working on technology transformation projects and digital initiatives
- Handling cloud and SaaS arrangements
- Managing IT outsourcing transactions
- Advising on business process outsourcing
- Supporting facilities management outsourcing projects
- Drafting and negotiating IT licences and commercial contracts
- Building deep client relationships with private and public sector organisations
- Mentoring junior team members and helping shape the future of the group
- Taking on increasing responsibility with clear pathways for career progression
- Contributing to complex regulated technology data and transformation advice
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-calibre matters for FTSE 100 and equivalent clients handling some of the largest digital transformation projects in the market.
What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house
- Strong technical analytical and project management skills
- Commercial mindset with a pragmatic solutions-driven approach
- Proven ability to deliver tailored robust advice supporting internal and external stakeholders
- Track record of strong financial performance and client satisfaction
- Experience in IT/Technology and Outsourcing matters
- Ability to manage own workload effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative approach to working in a team environment
Desirable:
- Sector experience in retail & consumer financial services advanced manufacturing technology or healthcare
- Experience with digital transformation projects
- Knowledge of cloud computing and SaaS arrangements
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting technology transactions
- Experience mentoring junior lawyers
