Job Description
- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery
- Interpret and execute work from technical drawings cut sheets and production plans
- Ensure accurate cutting sizing and quality control of wood components
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain a clean organized and safe workspace
- Collaborate with the production team to meet timelines and quality standards
- Support other shop operations as needed
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for this Sawyer role would likely possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of cabinetry millwork or carpentry experience
- Machinery Knowledge: Proficiency with woodworking machines such as beam saw edge banders CNC routers and hand/power tools
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut sheets
- Maintenance: Familiarity with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of woodworking equipment
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks involving standing kneeling crouching and climbing
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail time management and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems
- Asset: Forklift Certification

Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time Monday through Friday Shift 7:00 am 3:30 pm
- Hourly pay with occasional overtime opportunities
- Paid vacation holidays and sick days
- Benefits after 3 months: Dental health spending account and extended health care
- Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
