Job Description

  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery
  • Interpret and execute work from technical drawings cut sheets and production plans
  • Ensure accurate cutting sizing and quality control of wood components
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe workspace
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet timelines and quality standards
  • Support other shop operations as needed

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this Sawyer role would likely possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of cabinetry millwork or carpentry experience
  • Machinery Knowledge: Proficiency with woodworking machines such as beam saw edge banders CNC routers and hand/power tools
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut sheets
  • Maintenance: Familiarity with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of woodworking equipment
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks involving standing kneeling crouching and climbing
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail time management and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions
  • Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems
  • Asset: Forklift Certification

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time Monday through Friday Shift 7:00 am 3:30 pm
  • Hourly pay with occasional overtime opportunities
  • Paid vacation holidays and sick days
  • Benefits after 3 months: Dental health spending account and extended health care
  • Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
