You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments planning implementing and evaluating care to improve the health outcomes and overall wellbeing of individuals in detention.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a broad range of clinical responsibilities including immunisations blood collection wound care health assessments care planning medication administration and health promotion and education. The role involves delivering care that honours the dignity culture values beliefs and rights of detainees while fostering a respectful and inclusive healthcare environment.
Lets talk about you!
You will be an AHPRA Registered Nurse (General unrestricted registration) and have at least five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse including experience in alcohol and other drug (AOD) including hands-on patient care in an operational setting (non-Telehealth)
You will also hold a postgraduate qualification in AOD (AQF recognised).
You will demonstrate a strong ability to prioritise tasks work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You will possess excellent communication skills coupled with critical thinking and sound decision-making abilities. Your adaptability and flexibility will enable you to respond effectively to changing circumstances and meet the evolving needs of detainees.
