Registered Nurse - RN to work in Pre-Admit testing for Outpatient Surgery. This position is a phone position; No patient facing responsibilities
Summary:
The Registered Nurse facilitates relationship-centered compassionate quality care to patients through competent clinical practice and the application of the healing art and science of professional nursing.
What you will do:
Call the patients to get their medical / surgical history make sure the History and Physical is available utilizing anesthesia testing guidelines
Make sure ordered lab work and / or pre-operative testing is complete
Provide instructions for day of surgery.
Prepare the Epic patient record for the day of surgery
What you will need:
Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
Associate degree in nursing required BSN preferred.
In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
Licensed in the State of Michigan
Current Basic CardiacLife Support (BCLS) certification
Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty preferred.
Experience in a health care setting.
Experience inan acute health care setting preferred.
What you will work:

- 20 hours per week
- 815a-4:45p
- Week 1: Wed Thurs Fri.
- Week 2: Mon & Tues
