Position Summary: The Senior Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-reliability electronic components to our commercial and aerospace & defense customers. This position supports compliance with customer industry and regulatory quality standards while driving continuous improvement in design manufacturing and supplier processes. The Technical Quality Engineer serves as a key liaison between engineering operations suppliers and customers to resolve complex quality challenges and maintain our reputation as a trusted partner to prime contractors and tier-one OEMs.

Compensation Range: $90000 to $120000.00 annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development maintenance and auditing of the companys Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense quality standards including AS9100 IPC and contract-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate and maintain group qualification activities for parts in accordance with MIL-PRF-38534M requirements.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure part compliance with military and customer-specific standards.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate timely quality documentation packages to prime contractors and customers.
  • Supports RCCA investigations to resolve internal supplier and customer quality issues.
  • Support MRB activities by leading the disposition of nonconforming parts and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects scrap and rework using data-driven methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Lean).
  • Monitor and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through data analysis and targeted quality improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality or a related technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • 37 years of quality engineering experience in the electronics aerospace or defense manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components circuit boards and associated manufacturing/inspection processes.
  • Experience working with aerospace & defense prime contractor quality systems and flow-down requirements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in RCCA failure analysis and problem-solving tools (8D Ishikawa FMEA).
  • Familiarity with AS9100 ISO 9001 and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. ITAR EAR).

  • Technical: Proficient in quality engineering methods statistical analysis and reliability concepts.
  • Executional: Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with engineering operations suppliers and customers.
  • Behavioral: High attention to detail adaptability in dynamic environments and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Analytical: Data-driven decision making with ability to distill complex technical issues into actionable steps.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance (if required by program or customer).
  • Industry certifications (CQE CQA Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) preferred but not required.
