Job Description
Pay Grade/Pay Range:Minimum: $44200 - Midpoint: $55300 (Salaried E6)

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary:The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project(s). Assists with project design management and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. May supervise students provide general office assistance create promotional materials and assist in the development of other potential projects.
Additional Department Summary:The Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) at The University of Alabama advances interdisciplinary research training and outreach that address pressing societal challenges. This position plays a central and independent role in implementing ISSR programs and initiatives by planning coordinating and managing operations from start to finish.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher and some experience coordinating projects.
Skills and Knowledge:Knowledge of program and event planning coordination and delivery. Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Effective written verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to engage and collaborate with faculty staff students and external partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new software tools (e.g. project management platforms registration systems or survey tools). Problem-solving skills and capacity to adapt to evolving program needs. Ability to maintain accurate records track progress and support continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a university research center or nonprofit organization. Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in a professional setting.
