Job Summary

Job Description

As Warehouse Assistant you play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient warehouse operation and preparation of delivery materials and logistical support for outgoing shipments.

Job Responsibilities

Receiving and organizing inventory:

Unload incoming shipments and inspect for damage or missing items.
Document received merchandise and scan new stock into the companys inventory software.
Sort and store materials in their designated locations often on shelves racks or in bins.
Help with credit notes.

Order processing and fulfillment:

Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently as needed.
Label and prepare packed items for shipping.
Assist with loading outgoing orders onto delivery trucks as needed.

Warehouse maintenance and safety:

Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts
Conduct routine cleaning to keep the warehouse organized and clear of debris.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.

Reporting and record-keeping:

Report damaged missing or incorrect inventory to a supervisor.
Update inventory logs and documentation for all incoming and outgoing products.
Assist with regular inventory audits and cycle counts.

Shipping Assistance

Print all paperwork needed for shipping packets including profiles layouts forms maps and delivery tickets.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Forklift experience
Basic computer skills and inventory control software experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize day and change on a dime
Ability to work well with others productively
Ability to perform under pressure with deadlines
Excellent organizational skills
