Global Head, Supply Chain

Our client is a well-respected manufacturer of beauty and cosmetic products in the US dedicated to transforming the industry through sustainable practices - one stroke at a time.

They are seeking a worldly and brilliant Global Head of Supply Chain with extensive SC leadership in the beauty and cosmetics industry especially for China and Southeast Asian operations. Candidates from FMCG and consumer electronics are also welcome to apply.

In this role you will oversee the end-to-end global SC strategy - driving excellence across sourcing procurement manufacturing logistics distribution and demand planning. The ideal candidate will have an immaculate track record of leading large complex global supply chain operations ensuring efficiency compliance sustainability and resilience while supporting business growth.

Please note that this position requires a significant amount of working experience in China and understanding of cross-border business culture and regulations.

Professional working fluency in English is also REQUIRED.

The main working location for this role is Tianjin China.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead global supply chain strategy ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market growth plans.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing procurement manufacturing demand and supply planning logistics and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies for cost optimization efficiency improvements and supply chain resilience.
• Drive supplier performance management ensuring quality compliance sustainability and ethical sourcing standards are met.
• Lead global demand and supply planning processes to balance cost service levels and inventory targets.
• Manage global manufacturing and contract manufacturing partnerships to ensure capacity quality and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory trade and customs requirements across international markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers logistics providers and strategic partners worldwide.
• Implement digital tools and advanced analytics to enhance visibility forecasting accuracy and decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices across global supply chain functions
• Collaborate with commercial marketing R&D and finance teams to support product launches and business initiatives.
• Develop and mentor high-performing global supply chain teams fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in global supply chain management - with 3 of those years in senior leadership roles.
• Previous background in beauty cosmetics or personal care products is strongly preferred. FMCG and consumer electronics are also acceptable.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or WCM.
• Must have Asia-centric manufacturing experience especially in China. Custom manufacturing background is also a major plus.
• Proven track record of leading strategic transformations cost optimization and building teams.
• Deep knowledge of global supply chain regulations compliance requirements and international trade practices.
• Proficiency with digital supply chain tools ERP systems and data analytics platforms.
• Ability to navigate US - China cross-border business culture flexibly and with grace.
• Professional working fluency in English is required. Fluency in Mandarin will be a major advantage.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in supply chain management business administration engineering or a related field. Additional certifications are welcome.
