The School
The role is within our School of Applied Sciences and Technology. The departments within the School are located on our Grande Prairie campus and our Fairview campus. The School offers a variety of programminginFine Arts Humanities and Social Sciences Sciences and Animal Health Technology. Through this programmingwe offer a variety of certificates diplomas university transfer coursesas well as a degree in computing science.
The Role
The Science Department is seeking instructor(s) to develop and teach courses in the new IT Specialist program launching in January 2026. Courses include: Intro to PC Hardware Operating Systems and Installation IT Specialists Professional Practice Networking Principles Internet of Things IT Security Foundations for Professionals and Ethics in Computing Science. Please indicate which courses you are both qualified and interested in teaching. Courses will be offered in 8-week blocks and may be delivered online concurrently with Keyano College.
This position is subject to enrolment. This part-time sessional position will commenceonJanuary 5 2026

Requirements
A bachelors degree in computing science (or a closely related field) and work experience in IT-related fields are required. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
- Ability to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of and support diverse learners;
- Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies (e.g. videoconferencing learning management systems);
- Student-focused;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;and
- A high level of integrity professionalismand accountability.
