Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Government Audits to lead the preparation and review of government audits manage client relationships and oversee staff performance. This position is ideal for a CPA with strong Audit & Assurance (A&A) experience financial statement preparation and single audit expertise.
This is a full-time role with seasonal on-site work in Oakland MD (JuneJanuary). From FebruaryMay youll maintain your CPE requirements remotely. The firm covers training costs including 80 hours of A&A CPE over two years with 24 hours of government-specific training.
Key Responsibilities

Direct government audit preparation and review.

Build and maintain professional client relationships.

Lead mentor and manage audit teams.

Ensure compliance with government auditing standards (GAGAS).
Qualifications
Must Have:

68 years of public accounting experience.

Active CPA license.

Audit & Assurance (A&A) expertise.

Financial statement and single audit experience.
Nice to Have:

Experience with CCH ProSystem Engagement.
