Project Architect
Location: Cape Girardeau MO
Salary: $110000 - $160000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Total compensation package: $125K - $155K
Relocation: Open to relocation opportunities
Basic Function
The Project Architect will oversee and coordinate all phases of architectural design and documentation for new and existing hospitality projects. This role requires strong technical expertise design sensitivity and project leadership to deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to all phases of design including site planning building design detailing documentation and construction administration.
Maintain project schedules by ensuring the timely preparation of design deliverables across assigned projects.
Collaborate closely with project teams to integrate design intent into construction documentation specifications and field execution.
Provide construction administration support including reviewing shop drawings submittals site visits and quality control.
Coordinate effectively with consultants contractors fabricators and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Support evaluation of new products energy-saving strategies and cost-effective design solutions.
Foster teamwork and communication across internal design teams consultants and contractors.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
In-depth knowledge of architectural and engineering principles concepts and terminology.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MS Office and Bluebeam required; experience with visualization tools such as SketchUp Photoshop or other 3D software preferred.
Strong knowledge of building codes ADA life safety standards and permitting processes.
Proven experience leading and organizing construction documentation and specifications.
Excellent leadership organizational business writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and collaborate as a proactive solution-oriented team player.
Education & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program (preferred).
Licensed Architect.
Minimum 25 years of progressive architectural experience ideally within hospitality commercial or mixed-use projects.
