We are a brand-new grassroots Alternative Provision (ALP) in North Somerset and were looking for authentic down-to-earth mentors who can build real relationships with young people aged 625. This is your chance to join a small passionate team committed to helping young people regain confidence trust and purpose in a safe and supportive setting.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Acting as a positive role model to young people with varying backgrounds
- Building trusted consistent relationships based on empathy respect and encouragement
- Using your own interests (e.g. sport nature art music mechanics fitness history gaming woodworking) to run engaging meaningful sessions
- Supporting young people to develop life skills confidence independence and motivation
- Creating safe spaces where young people feel seen heard and understood
- Working 1:1 or in small groups in a peaceful countryside setting with great facilities
Youll Be a Great Fit If You Are:
- Passionate about youth work mentoring or supporting young people facing challenges
- Patient reliable and emotionally intelligent with a non-judgmental approach
- Comfortable taking the lead in activities and building rapport in informal settings
- A driver with access to a car travel within North Somerset is essential
