Were looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper/Accountant to lead and strengthen our accounting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing this role youll partner with the Controller to ensure financial accuracy compliance and efficiency across the organization. Youll oversee daily accounting activities manage AR/AP and reconciliations and provide timely reliable reporting. Beyond the numbers youll guide a talented team support audits budgeting and forecasting and drive process improvements that align with ISO 9001 standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise and attention to detail will directly impact financial integrity and operational success.
Lead daily accounting operations: AP AR cash receipts credit card transactions general ledger entries and expense management
Manage monthly closings journal entries accruals and reconciliations
Oversee inventory accounting standard costing and throughput margin
File multi-state sales and use tax returns; maintain compliance documentation
Supervise and train accounting team; maintain training materials and department matrix
Handle escalated customer/vendor issues with professionalism
Collaborate with external accountants for audits and year-end closings
Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Ensure compliance with internal controls GAAP and ISO 9001 standards
Drive process improvements and assist with special projects
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance preferred (Associates with solid experience accepted)
5 years progressive accounting/bookeeping of manufacturing accounting experience (preferred)
3years of supervisory or team lead experience
Proficiency in SAGE 100 and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of GAAP sales/use tax compliance and month-end close processes
Self starter with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task
Detail-oriented with excellent time management analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion
Salary Range: $65000- $80000 based on experience
