Job Description:
- The Digital Operations and Simulation Lead is responsible for ownership and development of the companys process simulator platforms operator training programs and digital operations tools.
- The role supports safe efficient FLNG operations by leading simulator-based training and driving digitalization initiatives through data platforms such as Aveva PI and KIMS.
- Serve as process owner for all dynamic process simulators used in training testing and operations support.
- Lead the design development and delivery of simulator-based training programs for operations personnel.
- Ensure simulator platforms remain technically current reflect plant changes and meet operational training needs.
- Act as focal point toward simulator vendors for model updates issue resolution and capability improvements.
- Plan and execute operator competency assessments using simulation scenarios.
- Develop and maintain simulator configurations scenarios and associated documentation.
- Collaborate with Asset Teams and Engineering to scope and support simulation needs for current and future FLNG units.
- Lead digitalization efforts in FLNG Operations in particular utilizing the data harvested by our Aveva PI system
- Develop and maintain dashboards mimics and data visualization tools that support day-to-day operational decisions.
- Provide data-driven insights to enhance operational safety plant reliability and production availability.
- Support operational troubleshooting and improvement through real-time and historical data analysis.
- Assist in emergency preparedness training through scenario simulations and data-driven decision tools.
- Lead digital twin initiatives or other advanced simulation-based decision support systems.
- Track training performance metrics identify gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support budget planning and cost control for simulator and digital tool development.
