You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailCome explore Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community as part of our Reception/Concierge team. Deerfield is an outstanding senior living community with a resort-like atmosphere.
Our Concierge team is a central part of community life ensuring that residents staff and guests have access to resources and information to live life well at Deerfield. This weekend role role is 20 hours per week with 16-18 hours on Saturdays and Sundays and occasional work filling in through other days of the week. The concierge team assists residents with answering questions and finding information on resident life completing work order requests greeting guests and connecting them with resources on campus supporting the Marketing team by greeting visitors seeking tours assist with guest room requests dining resources and more. Our front desk is a hub of community life and an upcoming retirement is prompting the opening for a new member of this exceptional team.
Role Requirements:
--Must have a high school diploma or GED.
--At least one year of experience in an administrative/office setting; experience in a customer-facing environment is strongly preferred.
-- Must be proficient with basic computer use including typing Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
--Strong proficiency with written and verbal English language skills in order to communicate effectively with a variety of in-person visitors and telephone calls
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills fostering positive interactions with residents families and staff.
Has the ability to manage time effectively prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take initiative and make sound decisions when necessary.
Comfortable learning and using technology
Committed to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
Must always promote a positive customer service approach with each interaction either with resident staff or families.
-Experience in senior living or healthcare environment strongly preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to read write speak and understand the English language.
Must be able to greet residents/patients in a warm professional and supportive manner.
Maintain a positive and professional approach in all residents staff and family interactions.
Assist with answering and routing calls and email communications about a wide variety of Deerfield life. Handle correspondence and record keeping. Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally route them appropriately or take accurate messages. Organize and file information with accuracy. Interface with a variety of departments including facilities security grounds administration dining and healthcare.
