Clinical Manager Cardiopulmonary Unit

$10000 Sign-on Bonus Available *Based on meeting eligibility requirements.

Cardiac department has 36 beds. Patient population and diagnosis: Cardiac and CVA patients. Post op day 1-2 CABG pacemaker patients Bradycardia Tachycardia SVT AFIB w/RVR or new a fib acute MIs PCI patients Fem/Fem bypass CEAs and more. We also do step down (IMCU) patients. Nurses are exposed to more critical patients making it a good bridge to departments such as ED and ICU.
How you will contribute
A Clinical Manager who excels in this role:
Assists with developing specific departmental goals standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling staff development recruitment payroll and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets regulatory compliance departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases monitors usage and oversee proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients staff physicians and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we are looking for
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors degree preferred).
Additional requirements include:
Basic Life SupportHealth Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year/transfer)
Two (2) years nursing experience
Severn (7) years managerial experience (preferred)
