Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Laying pipes for foul water stormwater and utilities to line and level.
Setting out pipe runs from drawings and specifications.
Excavating and preparing trenches safely and accurately.
Installing manholes chambers and other drainage structures.
Ensuring correct use of trench boxes and shoring systems.
Backfilling compacting and reinstating works to required standards.
Working around live services and applying safe digging techniques.
Reading and interpreting site drawings and levels.
Following health and safety protocols at all times.

Essential Requirements

Valid CSCS Card
Proven experience as a pipelayer within groundworks/civil engineering.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and levels.
Skilled in using trench support systems (trench boxes drag boxes sheets).
Strong understanding of health & safety requirements on site.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills

CPCS/NPORS accreditation.
Confined Space Training.
Streetworks (NRSWA) accreditation.
Machine operator experience/tickets.
5 years experience in groundwork and pipelaying.
