The Bulgaria office is the center of the technology behind building software solutions.
We are currently looking to expand our team of experts with an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 18 specialists.
If you are ready to take the following responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional agile team while fostering a positive work environment and providing mentorship.
- Recruit and retain a strong team of highly motivated software engineers.
- Work in close collaboration with product owners lead developers and QA to plan deliveries manage priorities and ensure stable and predictable execution.
- Conduct performance evaluations provide feedback and address performance issues where needed.
- Identify and manage risks developing mitigation plans while also spotting inefficiencies and wasted efforts and proposing improvements that benefit the team.
- Encourage engineering best practices so we have a clear direction for improvement.
- Work with the wider leadership team to plan and manage deliveries and report progress against objectives.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership planning and communication skills.
- Strong understanding and experience in applying Agile Frameworks (SCRUM) to different situations.
- 4 years of experience in engineering management roles including leading teams of 15 engineers.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and being proactive in solving challenges.
- Positive attitude and ability to take the initiative; self-disciplined well organized and highly committed with the ability to multitask.
- An experienced leader with a positive reputation and with a strong technical background.
- Previous experience of backend software architectures preferably a knowledge in Java.
