Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and dedicated Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join a Good mixed secondary school in Slough from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach both Psychology and Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5 contributing to a thriving and academically ambitious Social Sciences department.

The Role
As a Psychology and Sociology Teacher you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons at KS4 and KS5.
  • Encourage critical thinking research and debate among students.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Support enrichment opportunities such as psychology clubs essay competitions and university outreach projects.
  • Play an active role in pastoral care and the wider school community.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology Sociology or a closely related subject.
  • QTS or PGCE and ability to teach both subjects up to A-Level.
  • Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.
  • Commitment to raising achievement and developing a love of learning.

Salary
Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) commensurate with experience.
