Job Description

  • ECT Science Teacher required full-time from January 2026
  • Independent co-educational day school (ages 416) in Leicestershire
  • Join a supportive and academically minded Science / STEM department

We are seeking an Early Career Science Teacher to join a well-regarded independent day school in Leicestershire. You will teach Science across KS3 & KS4 (and potentially support extension or enrichment science) in a setting that values academic challenge small classes and strong pastoral support. The post is ideal for new teachers who want structured induction supportive mentoring and professional growth. Applications are welcome from ECTs and suitably qualified early-career candidates with recognised teaching credentials (QTS or equivalent) and the legal right to work in the UK. Experience & Qualifications

  • ECT Science Teacher (PGCE or equivalent completed)
  • Commitment to excellent teaching inquiry and practical work in Science
  • Good subject knowledge in one or more science disciplines (Biology Chemistry Physics)
  • Reflective practitioner enthusiastic and adaptive
  • Legal ability to work within the UK
