About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Wiltshire. This is a full-time permanent position starting in January 2026 offering the chance to teach Music across KS3KS5. The successful candidate will help nurture pupils creativity performance skills and appreciation of music while playing an important role in the schools lively and ambitious cultural life.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an ECT or an experienced teacher to join a thriving Music Department that places performance inclusivity and excellence at its core.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging and well-planned Music lessons across all key stages.
  • Inspire students to develop skills in performance composition and music theory.
  • Contribute to the departments wide range of co-curricular opportunities including choirs orchestras ensembles and annual productions.
  • Prepare students for external exams and support those aiming to pursue music at conservatoires and universities.
  • Help to promote Music within the school community through concerts showcases and cross-departmental projects.
  • Support the use of technology in Music teaching including digital composition and recording.

This ambitious 1118 mixed academy educates approximately 1100 students including a growing Sixth Form of 250 pupils. Academic performance is strong with 72% of students achieving grades 95 in English and Maths at GCSE while A-Level outcomes regularly exceed national averages.
