Job Description
Are you an inspiring English Teacher with a passion for literature language and helping young people find their voice
A high-achieving and inclusive 1116 secondary school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join its successful English department from January 2026.
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS dependent on experience

Your Role:
Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire students to read widely think critically and communicate with confidence
Contribute to enrichment activities such as debating drama or writing competitions
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and refine teaching practice
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold a degree in English or a related subject and be working towards or hold QTS
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching
Be able to engage challenge and support students of all abilities
Be committed to contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
