Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced EEG Tech to join our team in Atlanta GA for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in performing EEG procedures with a strong understanding of pediatric EEG testing. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG procedures for patients of all ages including pediatric patients.
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate EEG equipment and ensure the proper setup for accurate test results.
- Monitor patients during EEG recordings ensuring the collection of high-quality data.
- Maintain accurate patient records including test results and relevant medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret EEG findings and ensure timely reporting.
- Adhere to infection control safety and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent patient care and education throughout the testing process.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as an EEG Technician/Technologist.
- Current R. EEG T (Registered EEG Technologist) certification required. If not R. EEG must have a significant EEG certification (e.g. CNIM or equivalent).
- Pediatric EEG experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EEG techniques troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask efficiently.
