Role OverviewAs a Backend Engineer you will contribute to the development and maintenance of core backend services powering our staffing automation platform. You will work alongside experienced engineers and product managers to develop features using and Python with exposure to modern databases CI/CD pipelines and scalable service design. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your backend expertise while working in a fast-paced SaaS product environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain backend services using (preferably with TypeScript) and Python (Flask/FastAPI/Django) preferably FastAPI
- Write RESTful APIs and backend logic for new features and improvements
- Integrate with databases like PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB and Cassandra
- Work on code quality testing and documentation
- Collaborate with frontend QA and DevOps teams in agile sprints
- Assist in deploying services and managing basic CI/CD pipelines
- Support debugging monitoring and maintaining backend systems
- Languages: (TypeScript) Python
- Frameworks: FastAPI Django/Flask
- Databases: PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB Cassandra
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS/GCP basics Docker
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions/Jenkins
- Messaging: Redis Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Monitoring: Prometheus ELK Sentry
- 2 4 years of backend development experience with and Python
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming and RESTful APIs
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra)
- Experience with version control and working in collaborative codebases (Git)
- Exposure to basic DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Willingness to learn cloud-native development and scalable system design
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile product teams
- Exposure to Generative AI LLMs and multi-agent architectures
- These include model families vector databases frameworks like LangGraph prompt engineering techniques etc
- Experience integrating third-party APIs or working with HR/ATS systems
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms and B2B product development
- Understanding of containerization (Docker) basic cloud concepts (AWS/GCP) and monitoring tools
