PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

Summary:

Fabricate high-quality furniture and wood subassemblies using stationary and handheld tools.
Interpret material specifications and engineering drawings to meet design requirements and quality standards.
Coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with customer-approved samples.
Utilize a variety of woodworking tools and techniques.
Champion safety 5S and housekeeping policies; protect aircraft interiors.
Collaborate with leads to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques.
Track parts manage squawks and sign off completed work in the material tracking system.
Mentor and train less experienced technicians; accept lead responsibilities when needed.
Conduct safety audits and assist in maintaining shop equipment and JSAs.
Coordinate with other backshops and adapt to schedule changes as required.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
4 years in cabinetmaking; aerospace industry experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read write speak and understand English.
Able to climb ladders/stairs work in confined spaces lift up to 40 lbs and work any shift.
Computer literate.
Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.
Preferred: knowledge of inspection and process specifications.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
