Position Summary
A well-established aerospace manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for 2nd shift. This role is responsible for building maintaining repairing and modifying production tooling using manual lathes and mills to support manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on tooling experience understands precision tolerances and is comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities

Build repair modify and maintain tooling fixtures jigs and dies

Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines

Troubleshoot tooling-related production issues and implement corrective actions

Interpret blueprints sketches and engineering drawings
-
Perform precision machining to tight tolerances
-
Measure and inspect tooling components using precision measuring instruments
-
Support production teams by ensuring tooling reliability and availability
-
Maintain tooling documentation and repair records
-
Follow all safety quality and shop procedures
-
Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
Required Qualifications

Tool & Die or tooling experience (required)

Hands-on experience operating manual lathes and mills
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
-
Strong understanding of machining fundamentals and tolerances
-
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers indicators)
-
Ability to work 2nd shift consistently
-
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace manufacturing or tooling experience

Experience supporting production tooling in a manufacturing environment

Welding or grinding experience related to tooling repair
-
Familiarity with heat-treated materials and tool steels
