Job Summary

Overview

This is a full-time hybrid role (1 dayweek in office)

An opportunity is available for a proactive and skilled Infrastructure Engineer to take a lead role in designing deploying and maintaining robust IT infrastructure. This position is essential for ensuring the security reliability and performance of the systems that power day-to-day operations. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with on-premises systems networking virtualization storage and enterprise system administration.

Key Responsibilities

Design implement and manage scalable and highly available infrastructure solutions.
Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
Oversee enterprise storage systems including SAN and NAS platforms.
Monitor system and storage performance capacity and health - implementing improvements as needed.
Ensure infrastructure aligns with business continuity data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Troubleshoot hardware software network and storage issues across environments.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to optimize system performance and deployments.
Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
Automate infrastructure tasks using scripts and configuration management tools.
Participate in incident response root cause analysis and change management activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in infrastructure engineering system administration or a related role.
Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux server environments.
Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC Pure Storage).
Familiarity with networking protocols and tools (TCP/IP DNS VPN).
Solid understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware.
Working knowledge of IT security best practices.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

Certifications such as CompTIA Server VMware or related credentials.
Knowledge of data protection strategies archiving and tiered storage systems.
Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting tools (e.g. PowerShell Bash Ansible).
