Job : Snowflake Deployment Engineer
Location : Remote
Duration : 6 months
Rate : $75 to $80/hr w2
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Deployment Engineer to design implement and optimize Snowflake environments that enable scalable secure and high-performing data platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Snowflake deployments in enterprise settings understands data engineering best practices and can collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the deployment configuration and management of Snowflake cloud data warehouse environments.
Implement best practices for Snowflake security performance tuning and cost optimization.
Design and deploy ETL/ELT pipelines to support data ingestion transformation and integration across multiple sources.
Automate environment setup schema migrations and role-based access using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform CloudFormation etc.).
Partner with data engineers analysts and business teams to ensure Snowflake meets enterprise data needs.
Monitor Snowflake workloads and optimize compute storage and query performance.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake objects and processes.
Provide technical documentation deployment guides and knowledge transfer to support teams.
Qualifications
Proven experience deploying and managing Snowflake Data Cloud environments in production.
Strong understanding of SQL data modeling and schema design.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt Informatica Matillion Fivetran etc.).
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and integration with Snowflake.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation Pulumi etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git GitHub GitLab etc.).
Knowledge of data governance security and compliance frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Airflow dbt Kafka Databricks etc.).
Knowledge of performance monitoring and observability tools.
Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core SnowPro Advanced) are a plus.
