Job Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer also known as an Echo Tech performs echocardiograms on both adult (90%) and pediatric (10%) patients. This role involves a mix of 8 and 10-hour day shifts call duties and potential floating within scope to meet facility needs. The position requires at least two years of experience and proficiency in various echo techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients.
- Conduct Bubble Studies and Imaging with Contrast Agents.
- Utilize M-Mode imaging techniques.
- Perform Pharmacologic Stress Echo and Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Conduct Portable Studies.
- Image Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT).
- Perform Routine echocardiograms.
- Conduct Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
- Adhere to Isolation Precautions.
- Perform procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech.
- ARDMS certification.
- BLS certification.
- RDCS certification.
- Proficiency in Adult Echo Skills: Bubble Study Imaging with Contrast Agents M-Mode Pharmacologic Stress Echo Portable Studies Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT) Routine Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Proficiency in Pediatric Echo Skills: M-Mode Portable Studies Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT) Routine.
- Knowledge of Isolation Precautions.
- Experience with procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Siemens experience.
Special Considerations:
- Call is required typically 1-2 nights a week and every 3rd or 4th weekend.
- Holiday call rotation.
- Must be in IL 3 business days prior to compliance HDD in order to meet fingerprinting requirements.
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off that will count as a called-off shift.
Scheduling:
- Mix of 8 & 10-hour day shifts based on department needs.
- Start times between 0700-0800.
- 40 hours a week.
- Schedule determined by department needs.
- Discuss schedule requests with manager.
