Conduct hardware verification and validate design changes ensuring minimal impact on overall system performance. Testing hardware is carried out when new components are implemented due to design changes supply continuity needs end-of-life replacements new features or other influencing factors.
Collaborate with engineering manufacturing and quality teams to ensure successful integration of hardware changes.
Support production and troubleshooting by providing technical expertise regarding design updates.
Conduct root-cause analysis of any faults or performance issues and propose design updates.
Oversee or participate in prototype testing and validation of hardware changes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends technologies and compliance standards relevant to hardware design.
Communicating design change impacts project stakeholders and contributes to continuous design process improvement.
Engineering testing is performed on hardware components for first lot validation which is referred to as First Article Inspection.
Experience with hardware design change management and engineering change control processes.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting prototype building and root-cause analysis
Dry running the hardware for new component implementation.
On the production side hardware failure analysis and reporting are conducted. Failures occurring during the manufacturing and assembly process are analyzed and a report is generated with the identified root cause and proposed solution.
An additional advantage is the ability to perform Level 2 analysis on customer complaints including detailed investigation and reporting of findings.
BOM Analysis and Feasibility Analysis
Alternate supplier identification for selected components
