Job Summary

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Site: VA San Diego Healthcare System
Location: 3350 La Jolla Village Dr San Diego CA 92161
Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of 4 years extension

Shift Schedule:

Monday Friday 07:30AM 06:00PM

40 hours/week

May include holidays

On-call with 30-minute report time as assigned

License /Certifications:

Advanced ARRT certification in Interventional Radiology (required)
State of California license (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Submission documents: Updated resume (gaps explained) Advanced ARRT (IR) CA license proof BLS OIG & SAM printouts

Minimum Qualification/ Experience:

Minimum 2 years full-time recent experience (within last 3 years)
Operation/troubleshooting of single & bi-plane interventional equipment
Experience with contrast injector
PACS experience

Responsibilities:

Work in sterile environment
Set up sterile equipment/trays
Scrub back table
Assist physicians with a variety of sterile IR procedures
Prepare patients select/set technical factors
Ensure supplies/contrast availability
Image handling in PACS
Documentation in VistA/CPRS
Adhere to VA/JCAHO standards
Wear self-provided scrubs.
