Hours: 10-hour shifts
Shift Time: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM
Schedule: Rotating weekday off each week
On-Call: Required
Approximately 1214 call days per month
30-minute response time required for emergency call-ins
The Interventional Radiology Technologist provides advanced imaging and procedural support for diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures including Neuro IR vascular and general IR cases. This role supports a high-acuity comprehensive stroke program and requires strong clinical judgment technical expertise and the ability to respond rapidly to emergency situations.
Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures including Neuro IR vascular and general IR
Operate imaging equipment and support image-guided procedures in a sterile environment
Prepare patients equipment and supplies for interventional procedures
Ensure radiation safety and adherence to imaging and procedural protocols
Monitor patients during procedures and report changes in condition
Participate in emergency and trauma cases including stroke interventions
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Provide on-call coverage with the ability to respond within required timeframes
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary teams
25 years of Interventional Radiology experience with a strong emphasis on Neuro IR
Comprehensive stroke program experience REQUIRED
Experience supporting Trauma Level II facilities
Ability to take call for Neuro vascular and general IR cases
Ability to meet a 30-minute emergency response time
Active ARRT certification (R.T.(R))
Advanced Interventional Radiology credentials preferred
BLS (ACLS preferred)
Neurovascular and stroke intervention experience
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and radiation safety
Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
Ability to function independently in high-acuity environments
