Job Description-:
- Global IT Director (Manufacturing Background necessary)
Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation - Drive the global digital transformation agenda aligning IT initiatives with long-term business goals.
- Lead the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g. IoT AI digital twins cloud manufacturing) to enable smart manufacturing and improve efficiency.
- Build a multi-year roadmap to transform legacy systems and deliver quantifiable gains in operational efficiency and product innovation.
- Data & Analytics Strategy
- Establish a unified data strategy and implement governance frameworks across global operations.
- Lead the adoption of analytics platforms and champion a data-driven culture to support executive decision-making.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Provide strategic direction for global cybersecurity programs ensuring alignment with enterprise risk frameworks.
- Oversee threat prevention detection and response while ensuring compliance with global regulations (e.g. GDPR SOX) and industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001).
- Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Financial & Strategic Investment Management
- Direct strategic IT investment planning and manage multi-year budgets to optimize ROI.
- Lead business case development and portfolio prioritization to ensure IT spending aligns with business value.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to establish an innovation pipeline.
- Organizational Change & Stakeholder Alignment
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO Board and shareholders on technology strategy risk and innovation.
- Lead enterprise-wide digital change programs focusing on user adoption and cultural alignment.
- Global Technology Operations
- Architect a scalable and efficient global IT operating model that balances regional autonomy with enterprise governance.
- Oversee global vendor strategy contract negotiation and performance management.
- Build strategic partnerships with tier-1 vendors (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft) to co-develop solutions.
- Driving AI-Enabled Innovation
- Lead the integration of AI into global business and manufacturing operations including predictive analytics digital twins and smart manufacturing.
- Guide executive leadership on the strategic adoption of AI to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility
- Align IT capabilities to support CSR initiatives such as energy monitoring and emissions tracking.
- Implement systems that enable compliance with global sustainability regulations.
- Technology Talent Strategy
- Lead global IT workforce planning and capability building.
- Develop programs for technical skill development leadership succession and cross-regional collaboration.
- IT Governance & Best Practices
- Implement best-practice frameworks to drive efficiency scalability and compliance.
- Ensure audit readiness through KPIs dashboards and structured reviews.
Key Performance Indicators
- Year-over-year reduction in downtime for all systems and software.
- Year-over-year increase in utilization of installed software.
- Year-over-year increase in employees trained and proficient in installed software.
Authorities
- Assign tasks to global IT teams based on strategic alignment.
- Recommend and take actions related to hiring wage review disciplinary action and terminations.
- Establish and implement IT policies and procedures.
- Recommend and support all major ERP software and hardware purchases globally.
Job Requirements
- Education/Experience: BS in Computer Science or an IT-related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience leading an IT organization with at least 5 years in a manufacturing company.
- Skills: Must be able to quickly grasp organizational concepts and process flows establish credible relationships across all departments and manage day-to-day operations while leading the long-term IT vision.
