We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Proposals Engineer to join a dynamic business development team. This role is integral to supporting continued expansion in the African market and offers an exciting opportunity for career growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Prepare tenders proposals quotations and technical documentation.
Develop process flow layouts cost estimates and equipment selections.
Draft project schedules scope of work documents and design calculations.
Liaise with engineering teams and external providers for accurate project information.
Track enquiries build a sales pipeline and prepare forecasts.
Provide technical advice pre- and post-sales support and attend trade shows/meetings.
Facilitate project handovers between business development and project/engineering teams.
Travel across Africa as required.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering (BSc or BEng).
Minimum of 5 years experience in business development within mining or heavy engineering.
Strong knowledge of heavy engineering materials handling and equipment interactions.
Proficiency in MS Office MS Projects and CAD (SolidWorks DraftSight/AutoCAD).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (other languages advantageous).
Valid drivers license passport and up-to-date Yellow Fever certificate.
Self-motivated detail-oriented and able to manage projects independently.
