Job Purpose
We are looking for avisionary Senior Product Design Leadto drive the design strategy and execution for our client and product onboarding portfolio. This role is pivotal in shapinghuman-centred scalable and future-ready experiencesthat align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
You will lead a team of designers foster a culture ofdesign excellence and innovation and collaborate closely withproduct engineering research and business stakeholdersto ensure solutions arefeasible impactful and delightful.
Job Responsibilities
Lead Design Strategy & Execution
- Translate strategic objectives and validated user problems intointuitive scalable design solutions.
- Define and evolvedesign systems guidelines and frameworksto ensure consistency and efficiency.
Champion User-Centred Design
- Conduct and leverageuser research usability testing and data insightsto inform design decisions.
- Advocate forinclusive accessible and omni-channel experiencesacross all touchpoints.
Drive Innovation & Future Readiness
- IntegrateAI-driven tools and emerging technologiesinto the design process to enhance efficiency and creativity.
- Promoteservice design thinkingto deliver seamless end-to-end experiences.
Mentorship & Leadership
- Guide and mentor designers fostering agrowth mindset and culture of collaboration.
- Influence stakeholders throughclear communication storytelling and co-creation workshops.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure alignment withtechnical infrastructure design standards and agile delivery practices.
- Manage timelines priorities and resources to deliverhigh-quality outputs on schedule.
Minimum Experience
- 8 yearsin UI/UX or Product Design with at least3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience inleading design teams and delivering complex digital products at scale.
Qualifications
- Essential:Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Preferred:Degree or Certification in Design HCI or related field from an accredited institution.
Skills & Exposure
- Design Tools:Figma Miro (advanced proficiency).
- Prototyping:High-fidelity prototyping in Figma.
- Technical Acumen:Basic front-end understanding (HTML CSS) strong grasp ofsoftware delivery at scale.
- Methodologies:Agile Lean UX andservice design practicesfor omni-channel experiences.
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- FullProduct Design lifecycleandDesign Systems.
- AI as a design enablerand data-driven design practices.
- Strong understanding ofUX metrics analytics and performance measurement.
- Familiarity withjourney mapping service design and accessibility standards.
