Position Summary:

Akselos CAD Engineers will work on a digitalizing workflow for finite element analysis to:

• Build high-quality 3D CAD models
• Create finite element meshes suitable for structural simulation analysis in Akselos software.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Reviewing and assessing customer-supplied technical data (drawings models specifications).
• Building high-quality 3D CAD models from 2D drawings or assetss pictures
• Modifying 3D CAD models for new designs and simulations as needed
• Generating high-quality meshes complying with requirements from associated-industry standards
• Documenting CAD & meshing decisions assumptions made & mesh quality metrics
• Performing Quality Assurance procedures to ensure work quality
• Optimizing CAD & mesh frameworks and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or in a related field of study
• Understanding of technical drawing standards (ISO ASTM ANSI EN DIN BSI etc.) and drawing systems (e.g Oil and Gas industry)
• Familiarity with 3D CAD Modeling process
• Familiarity with Quality Assurance Procedure following industry standards
• Proficiency in English writing and reading skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• General knowledge in operation of the following asset types:
  • Onshore structures (downstreams): (e.g. pipeline pressure vessel SMR ORV coker heat exchanger etc.)
  • Offshore structures (upstreams): floating production storage and offloading units (FPSOs) or other ship-based systems
• Familiarity with the Finite element analysis workflow
• Ability to implement automation of 3D CAD modeling / meshing procedures
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as python C

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

• 2 - 3 years of experience working on industrial 3D CAD modeling and associated QA procedure.
