Position Summary:
Akselos CAD Engineers will work on a digitalizing workflow for finite element analysis to:
- Build high-quality 3D CAD models
- Create finite element meshes suitable for structural simulation analysis in Akselos software.

As a CAD Engineer at Akselos you will:
- Review and assess customer-supplied technical data (drawings models specifications).
- Build high-quality 3D CAD models from 2D drawings or asset pictures.
- Modify 3D CAD models for new designs and simulations as needed.
- Generate high-quality meshes complying with requirements from associated-industry standards.
- Document CAD & meshing decisions assumptions made and mesh quality metrics.
- Perform Quality Assurance procedures to ensure work quality.
- Optimize CAD & mesh frameworks and procedures.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of technical drawing standards (ISO ASTM ANSI EN DIN BSI etc.) and drawing systems (e.g. Oil and Gas industry).
- Familiarity with 3D CAD Modeling processes.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance Procedures following industry standards.
- Proficiency in English writing and reading skills.
- General knowledge in operation of the following asset types:
- Onshore structures (downstreams): (e.g. pipeline pressure vessel SMR ORV coker heat exchanger etc.)
- Offshore structures (upstreams): floating production storage and offloading units (FPSOs) or other ship-based systems
- Understanding of safety guidelines and API FFS standards relevant to downstream assets (API-579 and API-610).
- Familiarity with the finite element analysis workflow.
- Ability to implement automation of 3D CAD modeling/meshing procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience working on industrial 3D CAD modeling and associated QA procedures.
