Position Description Summary
The Department of Accounting at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for one (1) full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in accounting beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. The home campus for this position is Bloomsburg with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. About the Department: A national leader Commonwealth Universitys accounting program focuses on decision modeling risk analysis and measurement and reporting of financial information. Its no wonder we have the highest CPA exam pass rate in the State System and a more than 90% job placement rate for more than a decade. Instructional delivery can occur through traditional online and alternative instructional methods on-campus or at off-site educational locations. Summer and winter contracts may be available and are optional for faculty members. Advisement of student organizations is expected. The successful candidate will need to complete distance education training programs as made available by the University within two years of hire for the purpose of teaching in a multi-campus environment with remote teaching needs.
