Job Description

Applications Engineer

Our client in San Antonio is hiring an Applications Engineer to provide post-sales technical assistance and troubleshooting for utility-scale inverter and energy storage products including central inverters and 3-phase string inverters. Responsibilities include:

- Provide technical support to customers via phone email and web for inverter and energy storage products.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using root cause analysis.

- Track document and manage customer cases to ensure timely resolution and follow-up.

- Collaborate with engineering R&D sales and manufacturing teams to resolve escalated issues.

- Work with factories and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Support field service teams and vendors on material and correction methods.

- Develop process improvements to enhance support operations and efficiency.

- Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring professional communication and resolution of complaints.

- Provide frequent updates to stakeholders throughout issue resolution.

- Travel up to 40% to customer sites for troubleshooting issue resolution and relationship management.


Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field

- 3 years of experience in energy storage solar or utilities

- Strong project management skills

- Field service engineering experience is a plus
