The Department of Chemistry in Mercer Universitys College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a fulltime tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry position to start August 1 2026.Responsibilities:
This faculty members responsibilities will include: regular presentation of undergraduate general chemistry (with laboratory) or organic chemistry (with laboratory) courses; periodic presentation of advanced undergraduate chemistry courses (topics according to expertise); pursuit of an active research program that complements the departments current expertise; and regular mentoring of undergraduate researchers.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry from an accredited college or university is required. ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor until their PhD is obtained; however candidates with a PhD in hand by August 1 2026 are strongly preferred.
