We are hiring a full-time Manager Supply Chain to join the Project Preserve Department at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. What youll do: Key Responsibilities: - Acts as primary in-house contact for the field sales team processes order details and executes necessary documentation to confirm order details and maintains frequent communication regarding all orders.
- Processes customer direct load orders in a timely manner typically within the same day as receipt.
- Resolves issues pertaining to customer orders.
- Coordinates with sales and other appropriate departments in fulfilling orders.
- Changes/modifies orders and issues credit memos.
- Process direct/drop ship and assembly customer invoices within the same day as receipt.
- Creates purchase orders for all drop ship orders within the same day of receipt for approval and processing as well as follow up with vendors on confirmed release dates and resolves potential issues as necessary to fulfill the order. Collects Bills of Lading for current month processing.
- Organizes and facilitates all supply chain related activities and logistics to fulfill orders for the Backpack Senior Nutrition Food Box Combo/Disaster Box and various one-off programs.
- Works with the internal Community Impact and Volunteer Engagement Teams to schedule builds.
- Completes all work orders arranges transits and updates all involved parties on shipment and arrival.
- Handles any product issues that arise.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager Supply Chain to ensure product availability for Project Preserve offsite production of custom food boxes and backpack production.
- Manage inventory levels and product flow through the Smyrna warehouse. Sends POs to vendors both in advance and as needed to ensure adequate availability of products for mixed load orders and assembly needs.
- Works closely with vendors to maintain current and accurate knowledge of supply chain disruptions cost increases/decreases and lead times.
- Analyzes sales trends to develop demand forecasts and provides accurate forecasts for vendors.
- Analyzes product movement and conducts periodic SKU rationalization to optimize inventory and product flow.
- Conducts vendor Category Reviews with top vendors and subsequently collaborates with the Director Supply Chain along with key vendor partner executives to expand relationships while working directly with vendor R & D teams to develop new innovative products.
- Works directly with suppliers on the development or reformulation of products which meet or exceed customer and Feeding America nutritional guidelines.
- Performs sales price benchmarking with competitors and makes recommendations for price adjustments to Director Supply Chain.
- Manages the product catalog including updated and accurate product information lead times pricing and additional pertinent information for products to ensure they will always be available for customer ordering. Also included on the direct list will be an opportunity buy section that lists timely opportunities for over-inventoried items short-dated items or general opportunity-buys from suppliers.
- Work with the Director Supply Chain and the sales team to determine best products to highlight via monthly flyers and other promotional material.
- Works with the sales team and Director Supply Chain on customer bids to provide accurate product availability and competitive pricing.
- Monitors and replenishes inventory for local Agency ordering via transits to Main and Camden warehouses to maintain adequate inventory thresholds as needed.
- Cross trains with and provides back up to the Senior Manager Supply Chain and Director Supply Chain as needed.
- Understands and utilizes the shortage report for ordering components and releasing orders.
- Acts as main administrator and key subject matter expert for and is the primary contact for e-commerce/ website updates (i.e. product images and nutrition information).
- Other duties as assigned.
When & Where: Is this you Education: Bachelors Degree required Experience: 4 years of relevant experience and/or training. Skills & Capabilities: - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Outlook Excel Teams and Word.
