Here at Grand Traverse Container we are known for delivering quality speed and service our customers can count on. We are looking for a detail-driven Quoter who can turn customer requests into precise competitive solutions that keep our business running strong.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Collect and analyze information to estimate costs of products and services for assigned existing corrugated products and new products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Estimates the cost of new and proposed products and services.

• Analyzes changes to the products and services provided.

• Gathers pricing information for raw materials and production costs to produce product.

• Provides detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs.

• Documents data and statistical procedures used in conducting cost analysis.

• Assists in preparation of reports to determine standard costs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Thorough understanding of costing principles and procedures.

• Proficient with accounting software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Employee is regularly required to walk talk and hear.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business preferred or at least three years of related experience or combination of experience and education required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Grand Traverse Container is a manufacturing plant using corrugated paper. This work is performed in an office environment however often workers can be exposed to dust odors noise and variable temperatures when in the shop area.
